Kakamega NASA leaders will finance Raila Odinga's repeat presidential election campaign. The leaders agreed on Sunday at Oparanya's office to chip in and decided on a payment schedule. All MCAs who were reelected and nominated representatives will each contribute Sh100,000. Newcomers will contribute Sh50,000 to the campaign logistics kitty.

"Each of the NASA MPs will contribute Sh200,000, except Lugari's Ayub Savula and the deputy governor, who have offered to give Sh500,000," he said. Oparanya said the NASA secretariat will launch the campaign on Saturday and it will run nonstop until Election Day.

Mandago controls traffic in Eldoret as police go missing

Uasin Gishu Governor Jackson Mandago was on Saturday forced to take charge of traffic control in Eldoret town for more than 1⃣ hour to help ease heavy traffic jams as traffic police officers👮 were missing from all routes❗

It is said after his officers tried in vain to open the traffic for him, the angry😠 governor alighted from his 🚗car and personally took charge to restore flow by directing the vehicles.

"When all of you don't want to obey traffic regulations it does not help anyone and we end up getting stuck unnecessarily", Mandago 🔈 the matatu operators at the Iten road-Highlands junction.

The town has been experiencing heavy traffic jams due to narrow roads and Mandago has been on the forefront pushing the national government to quickly construct the Eldoret Southern by-bass road which will help to ease traffic jams in the town.

President Kenyatta launched🚀 work on the road last month and Mandago said🔈 they were working with the Kenya National Highways Authority to ensure the 💰Sh 5.7 Billion by pass project is completed faster.
